GRGA Policies

    ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP: Membership in 2008 is $45.00, which entitles you to play in the GRGA tournaments and an official USGA GHIN handicap.  Your Association Membership can be placed and paid on-line this year in our electronic store here.
If you already have a USGA GHIN handicap from another Golf course, then Association Membership fee is $25.00. 
In addition to our events the handicap will enable you to play in any USGA events throughout the state and for the most part throughout the country.  The USGA provides applications for state run events for those who are interested in amateur competition on a larger scale.

    TEE SELECTION: Members 65 or older have the choice to select the senior (gold) tees to play from, however, once selected they must play from those tees for all association events.  Members handicaps will be adjusted according to USGA Slope and Course rating for the selected playing tees.

     ENTERING EVENTS:  Once your annual membership dues are collected you will be able to signup and play in GRGA events.  Event Fees for the 2008 season are $10.00 per event.  Gambler Ridge Golf Club has graciously offered a reduced green fee for GRGA members for the day of the event only.  Total Saturday morning costs to play in a GRGA event is $59.00 which include green fee, carts, and event fee.  You will be able to access all event information including event signup, tee times and results on the website at www.gamblerridge.com. You only pay for events you choose to participate in and you may play in as many or as few as you like.  However, to qualify for the annual club championship you must play in at least 6 events (50%).  We ask that you register for the events at least a week in advance.

     EVENT SIGNUP DEADLINE:  This is the by close of business on Wednesday before the Saturday event.  Calling or on-line signup after that date will not guarantee you a place or tee time in the Saturday event.

     STARTING TIMES: 
GRGA members when signing up for events may request early or late tee times as they apply to the GRGA tee-time block, generally between 7:30 am and 9:00 am.  The only exception involves players with a history of slow play.  If you fall into this infamous category you will be assigned later tee times.

     TEE TIME CONFIRMATIONS:  Once the tee times have been arranged, which is usually the Thursday prior to the event, you may access your tee time online at the website by clicking on the “tee times” link found on the GRGA homepage. Those that are on-line challenged may call the pro shop for their starting time at 1-800-427-8463 or  609-758-3588.

     CANCELLATION POLICY:  Should you signup for an event and not show up and play in the event, ie: "No-Show", you are still responsible for the event fee.  This will be collected at the next event you participate in. Cancellations must be done before Thursday close of business in the pro shop.  Anything after and you will be liable for the entry fee.

     GUEST POLICY:  We encourage you to invite guests; however, a particular guest may only play in 3 events per season if invited by a member holding a regular membership.  Guests must have a valid USGA handicap to participate in GRGA events.  Guests will pay a $15.00 event fee.

     RAIN POLICY:  Any tournament cancelled by inclement weather will either be rescheduled or dropped from the schedule.  Event fees will be credited to your account or refunded.  Remember the old saying; however, "it doesn't rain on the golf course."  If the Golf Course or Committee decides to cancel an event because of weather, all players with a tee time will be credited an event toward the club championship minimum of 6 events.

    EVENTS RESULTS:  Results from events will be posted in the pro shop area the day of the event.  Generally on-line results will be available on Sunday after the event but no later than Tuesday.
